  Visit a soap, toothpaste or shampoo manufacturer.

  Study more in-depth skin and mucous. Try to understand their different roles.

  Introduce the microscope. Study skin and germs using a microscope.

  Explain in detail about micro-organisms found in different parts of the body.

  Explain how bad smells coming from decomposing substances (steroids) on the skin's surface are caused by specific bacteria (Corynebacteria).

  Search some key words on the Internet, e.g. microbes, bacteria, Institut Pasteur, etc.

  Invite a nurse or doctor to the classroom to talk of the importance of hygiene in schools.

  Study what tears are composed of. Show that they are not just salt water (enzymes, immunoglobulins) and that they have a role in body's defence.
